UNION POSITION
Become a Traffic Plan Flagger
We’re looking for people with a flexible schedule, valid driver’s license, and dedicated work ethic to fill these valued safety control positions. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of workers, commuters, and pedestrians by monitoring traffic through utility and construction work sites.
Duties include:
- Controlling movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects.
- Distributing traffic control signs & markers along sites in designated pattern.
- Controlling movement of traffic through sites using sign, hand & flag signals.
- Warning workers when approaching vehicles fail to heed signals, to prevent accident & injury.
- Informing drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
- Driving company trucks as needed.
The Flagger position changes locations each day, as you will be positioned wherever customers require our traffic control services.
Traffic Plan requires the following qualifications to become a Flagger:
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Comfortable standing 8–12 hours a day in any kind of weather
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Time and a half after 8 hours of work DAILY
- Time and a half for any overnight emergency work
